Top 5 Parks and Playgrounds in Charlotte County!

There are so many fabulous parks and playgrounds in Charlotte County it was extremely hard to narrow it down to just 5! Below is our 5 personal favorites we hope you will get out there and enjoy them too!


1.) Port Charlotte Beach Park

This park has it all, scenic waterfront space with boat ramps, basketball & tennis courts, picnic tables & a dog park!





2.) Kiwanis Park

501 Donora St.
Port Charlotte, FL 33952

Barbecue grills, fitness trails, nature/walking trails, picnic shelters, playground and restrooms. Dog friendly park. This park also holds several family fun events like their 2nd Annual Duck Race!





3.) Ponce De Leon Park

3400 Ponce de Leon Pkwy, Punta Gorda, FL 33950

Ponce de Leon Park overlooks the vast expanse of Charlotte Harbor.  The parks amenities include a boat ramp, fishing piers, mangrove boardwalk, small playground, open air chapel area, and picnic pavilion.  The park also has a sandy beach area that is popular for watching the sunset and the boats cruising in and out of the channel into Punta Gorda Isles canal system.





4.) Maracaibo Park / Kidspace

5.) Atwater Community Park

4475 Skyway Ave, North Port, FL 34288

This 25 acre community park is adjacent to Atwater Elementary School between East Price Boulevard and Atwater Drive. Park provides a five-field baseball complex, batting cages, concession, walking paths and pavilion, splash pad, playground and concession/restroom building.
